About the event
To register for this backcountry ski course, you must be a strong alpine skier (black runs) in good shape, and must be capable of skinning uphill for long distances. If you need more flexibility, there is a Silverstar AST1 course the next weekend.
Avalanche safety gear (beacon + shovel + probe) is mandatory for students. If you don't have your own gear you can rent from us! Simply choose the "Registration + Gear Rental" ticket option.
Day 1 of this course (the classroom day) takes place in Vernon, BC.
Day 2 of this course (the field day) takes place at a nearby mountain range.
